War is a Racket
War is a Racket by Smedley Butler is a famous speech denouncing
the corporate-military industrial complex. This anti-war speech by two-time
Congressional Medal of Honor recipient, exposes war profits that benefit
few at the expense of many. Throughout his distinguished career in the
Marines, Smedley Darlington Butler demonstrated that true patriotism
does not mean blind allegiance to government policies with which one
does not agree.
One of the most decorated combat veterans in US military history... but you'll possibly never hear his name. Here's why (courtesy of Brasscheck TV):

Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired,
represents, in the final analysis, a theft from those who hunger and
are not fed, who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is
not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the
genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. ~ Dwight D.
Eisenhower 34th president of US 1953-1961 (1890 - 1969)
