I was brought down to my knees. Despair started to set in but something happened and all I can say is I came to what I consider a spiritual insight. It came in the words of Dorothy Day and others who have said:
Don′t worry about being effective. Try to concentrate on being faithful. Faithful to the truth, what′s in your conscience, what′s in your heart. Try to concentrate on being in solidarity with the poor and do that. Do your best. Do your best where you are where you have your feet. ~ Father Roy Bourgeois
